Jeep Gold Coast National Finals Rodeo
Come enjoy all the excitement as the best of the best from Australia's rodeo circuit compete for national titles.
The Jeep Gold Coast National Finals Rodeo (NFR) is the largest indoor rodeo event in Australia and it is the official grand final for the Australian Professional Rodeo Association (APRA).
Each year thousands of hopefuls compete in the 100-plus accredited rodeos that are held across Australia and it all reaches its climax on the Gold Coast. The top 15 Cowboys and Cowgirls in six events Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc, Bareback Bronc Riding, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Ladies Barrel Racing are invited to compete at the Jeep National Finals Rodeo.
The Jeep National Finals Rodeo is not your typical outback rodeo. It has all the flair and extravaganza of a mini Las Vegas style of production and provides city slickers a taste of life in the outback. 'The Man from Snowy River' and 'Clancy of the Overflow' may have been born from the poet's pen, but the inspirations for these poems are still working on the land throughout Australia. Riding a rough horse, roping and working cattle was – and still is – a part of everyday life.
